 2. Summer Work in Cambridge – Teaching & Administration (positions for graduate researchers and undergraduate students)

Oxbridge Academic Programs leads two well-established (est. 1995), academically rigorous summer programs for advanced secondary school students in Cambridge – The Cambridge Tradition held in Jesus Colleges, and The Cambridge Prep held in Peterhouse. They are currently recruiting candidates to teach and serve as program staff.  Applicants for teaching posts should be well-qualified graduates who either have obtained, or are working towards, an appropriate postgraduate qualification (MPhil, MSc, PhD). A wide variety of courses is offered, including courses in the humanities, social sciences, natural and applied sciences, and the creative arts. Program staff positions are open to current undergraduates and include Program Assistants and Activities Directors. Details regarding the positions, including a complete list of courses and dates, are available online at: www.oxbridgeprograms.com/employment. Those applying for teaching roles should identify in the cover letter the course or courses in which they are interested.  The application deadline is Monday, February 8, 2016.  3. Malaysia-Singapore Research Conference (MSRC) 2016

The MSRC is a student-led conference that aims to gather the brightest minds from the Malaysia and Singapore postgraduate community in the UK for a one-day conference. This creates a unique knowledge-sharing platform that brings together academia and industry. This conference is an ideal opportunity for the academic work done by students to translate to fruitful partnerships, collaborations, and even employment. It will begin with plenary sessions with representatives from academia and industry followed by a series of student oral and poster. Our keynote speakers are Mr Mark Rozario (CEO of Agensi Innovasi Malaysia) and Mr Philip Yeo (Chairman of SPRING Singapore) This event provides opportunities to network with other delegates, speakers and our various sponsors. The day will conclude with a formal dinner at the renowned St John’s College in Cambridge.

4. CNY Lunch

Hi guys, welcome back to Cambs for another exciting term! To give you all something to look forward to, CUMaS will be organizing a CNY lunch (and potentially karaoke after that) on 6th February (Saturday) 1pm onwards.
