CUMaSKini 15/6/2013: Garden Party Tomorrow, CUMaS Families, Outreach-Sandakan, KK

CUMaSKini Header

15th June 2013

Hello, you, you lucky fella you! After all that work and studying, it’s finally time for a little taste of freedom. Or if you don’t like consuming freedom (tastes sort of like champagne and flour, but on your face), maybe have some good ol’ Malaysian food instead. Much easier to digest, and lovingly transported all the way from London, there’s no way you’d want to miss out on tomorrow’s Garden Party.

Also, believe in love at first sight? We don’t. We’re more of an arranged-marriage-and-then-adopt-some-kids kind of people. We’re really romantic that way. To start a CUMaS family of your own, sign-up on the doc below!

Lastly, this Summer, Outreach is coming to cities near you! (if you live near KL, Sandakan or KK) More details on CUMaS’ newest initiative below!

CUMaS Committee 2013/2014

1. Garden Party Tomorrow!

Ready for some castle-bouncing, game-playing and music-jamming fun? There will be food and friends, and even spoons to kill your friends if you feel so inclined. So don that favourite onesie or your comfiest sleepwear, and head on down to St. John’s Scholar’s Garden. Please remember your tickets (printed/electronic pdf/tattooed to your chest)!

Date: 16th June 2013

Time: 2.30-5.30pm

Also, if you haven’t seen the rules for the Assassins Game tomorrow:
  1. Upon entrance to Garden Party, participant will receive a rubber band that they have to wear on their wrist to indicate that they are participating in the game.’

  2. The game starts immediately when the garden party starts, and ends when the organizers announced the 8 finalists.

  3. To make a kill, one must make direct contact with the victim using the weapon provided. Once a participant is killed, he or she passes their rubber bands and all rubber bands they possess to the killer. The objective of the game is to collect 3 or more rubber bands. Anyone without wristbands is deemed ‘dead’ and cannot take part in the game any further.

  4. The default weapons that are allowed are only plastic spoons (melee weapon).

  5. A person may call ‘Disarm!’ to prevent an assassin from killing that person at any moment. ‘Disarm’ works for a few seconds and is meant to prevent a direct kill from a known assassin.

  6. Killers can only kill at the scholar’s field. The bouncy castle and anywhere outside of this is considered as the “safe zone” and all kills made in the safe zone would be voided.

  7. To enter the final, one must trade-in 3 wristbands or more at the trade-in counter.

  8. The first 8 people to turn in 3 or more wristbands enter the finals. Details of the final will be announced at the day itself.

May the odds be ever in your favour!

2. Starting a CUMaS Family

Alright. So here’s the thing. Lim Tian Xi may be an engineer, and he may be your Welfare Officer, but more than either of that, he’s a half-naked-baby-angel-thing. That’s right, meet your CUMaS Cupid. Here at CUMaS, we encourage the involvement of half-naked-baby-angel-things in all our major life choices, so sign-up here if you want to be involved in the next generation of CUMaS families:
