Attention: Cambridge Malaysian Postgrads

Steve Hoy is part of a UK TV production company which is developing an English language broadcast mathematics series for use in Asia (in collaboration with Cambridge University). They’re looking for presenters, men and women, who are UK-based and of an appropriate Asian ethnic background. They have presenters who are of Indian descent and are now looking for others from Asia – Singapore, Malaysia, China etc.

While the presenters must speak English, English doesn’t have to be their first language. Ideally the presenter(s) will have mathematical or scientific teaching experience. As well as familiarity with presenting to camera, the ability to use a tele prompter is essential.

It is expected that auditions for these roles will take place in the Cambridge area late August (30th/31st) with studio recording dates being the week beginning 12th November.
