1. Annual General Meeting
It is the time of the year again for Annual General Meeting. Our AGM will feature an Outgoing Committee’s report, Hustings for Incoming Committee 2012/13 and an Open Debate. With 5 Presidential Candidates in the running for the President Post this year, I assure you that hustings would be nothing short of entertaining.
Light refreshments will be served during the AGM.
Manifestos for all candidates will be sent out once the deadline closes tomorrow. It is still not too late for you to declare your interest and submit your manifesto to run for a position, especially for General Committee which is still empty as of now.
Please register here if you are interested in attending the AGM. Please note that the AGM is for CUMaS members only and we need people to sign up to meet quorum, if not the AGM will not be valid.
We will be voting on
Proxy voting: Members who are unable to attend the AGM are invited to vote by proxy.
As it is essential that we meet quorum for the AGM, we would really encourage those who are unable to attend to email secretary [at] cumas.org to arrange for voting via proxy .
If you wish to submit motions for open debate during AGM, please email secretary [at] cumas.org. Please include a proposer and seconder for each motion submitted for debate. The deadline for submission is Wednesday, 7 March 2012.
Three General Committee positions unfilled!
We have decided to extend the deadline for submitting names to this Friday (3rd March) as all three of the General Committee positions are yet to be filled! So for those who have yet to submit your names, please give some serious consideration as it is really a wonderful and enjoyable way to be serving your fellow Malaysians.
General Committee, 3 positions, which currently are:
- Socials : Gen Nen Ho (gnh21 [at] cam.ac.uk)
- Logistics : Ji Jian Tang (jjt33 [at] cam.ac.uk)
- Technical : Kin Wai Lee (webmaster [at] cumas.org)
Please note that for General Committee, the roles of each elected member might not be the same as the 3 mentioned above. This will be decided by the incoming committee in the first Executive Committee meeting. If you wish to contribute to CUMaS and think you have the skills to do so, but none of the posts above suit your liking, you might want to consider running for General Committee.
**We very much welcome submissions for other positions too, as most of them are still uncontested.

3. Axiata eXperiential Programme
A 12-month programme with on-the-job experience coupled with an extensive development module involving a combination of workshops, projects, coaching and opportunities to network with diverse groups of people. This programme is also innovatively designed to fast track your career within the organization.
Interviews and assessment will be conducted at the UKEC-Graduan Career in London on 1 April 2012. Applications for this must be sent to dinesh.rao [at] celcom.com.my
