4a. Committee of the Oxford and Cambridge Society working opportunity

The Committee of the Oxford and Cambridge Society in Malaysia are looking for a student or even a fresh graduate to do some interesting (paid!) research work for the Society in KL over the long vacation.  They have a large collection of archives of the Society from its inception about 50 years ago — old photos, minutes, invitations to Balls and the like. A lot of which will have historical significance to the Society, members and possibly even Malaysia at large.

They are looking for a student, maybe a historian, to help organise these documents into a coherent archive and also to pick out the most interesting parts for a book that the Society is looking into publishing. They have a timeframe of six weeks for the completion of this project, and the chosen student need not be on this project full-time. As a reward, this ‘honorary historian’ of the Society will be presented with RM1,500 upon completion of the project.

Interested? Please contact zubinradakrishnan@yahoo.com if you are interested in taking on this project and finding out more details.
