 1. CUMaS AGM

CUMaS’ Annual General Meeting will be held at 6pm on the 6th of March at William Mong Hall, Sidney Sussex College. This is where the committee for next year will be elected, so please do come along to cast your votes! If you are unable to physically attend, you may also vote through a proxy, you simply have to inform the current committee who your proxy is. We hope that all of you will make an effort to attend this meeting and cast your votes! For more information on the election procedures, positions available and guidelines, please visit the link below. All manifestos must be submitted via email to secretary@cumas.org by 11:59pm, 21st February.

 3. Shell Springboard Awards

Please accept this invitation to the Shell Springboard regional awards and networking event in Cambridge on Tuesday, 16 February, hosted by John MacArthur, VP Integrated Gas Technology. 


Join us for an evening of networking with the key players in the low-carbon sector and a chance to meet some of the most innovative low-carbon enterprises in the UK.

Keynote speeches at the event will be delivered by:

  • Daniel Zeichner, Member of Parliament for Cambridge; and
  • Hugh Parnell, Chairman of Cambridge Cleantech.

Shell Springboard provides funding and support to UK entrepreneurs with innovative solutions to help reduce carbon emissions. Eight shortlisted enterprises will compete for three awards of £40,000 each.

The three regional winners will also secure their place at the Shell Springboard National Final in London in March where the overall winner will walk away with an additional £110,000.

 4. Dota 2 Tournament

Reading University Malaysian Bruneian & Singaporean Association has organised a Dota 2 tournament, and has extended an invitation to all UK universities to participate in it. For a list of the rules and regulations as well as information on how to sign up, please download the form below.
